My interest in baking began in 2000, when my husband and I moved to Europe to pursue postgraduate studies. In England, I earned a Le Cordon Bleu cuisine certificate, cooking with my fellow classmates for private parties in the English countryside. Throughout this time, I discovered that the process and results of baking resonated deeply with me, and I spent the the next few months exploring (and sampling) the bakeries and pastry shops of Paris and Orleans, France.
Upon returning to the US, I started making wedding and event cakes professionally, and working as a freelance baker for local restaurants. In 2015, I studied cake and sugar flower art under Minette Rushing of Savannah Custom Cakes.
